Terms
Last updated June 2026
Plain-language terms for using The Diff Bits, a free content channel operated by How They Grow LLC ("we").
The service
Bits is a free, opt-in tool that adds a rotating content segment to your Claude Code status line. It is provided as-is, with no warranty. We may change or discontinue it at any time.
Your install
You install and run the client in your own environment, under your own configuration. You can uninstall at any time with one command. You're responsible for your own machine and Claude Code setup.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse the API (e.g. fabricated impressions/clicks, attempts to overload endpoints) or attempt to deanonymize other installs. We may block installs that do.
Content
Bits are short excerpts and ideas from The Diff and link back to it. That content belongs to its authors. The status-line client itself is open source under its repository's license.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of Bits. The client is designed to fail safe and never break your tools, but you use it at your own risk.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
